Clothing has pretty much become optional with the hot we have here in Bakersfield. I think he prefers it that way.

Super Awesome Bathroom

Way back before we all got sick, we were working on our bathroom, and after one final plumbing feat of genius by my husband (so I can actually fit things in my cupboard) it is now completely done. Hooray! Andrew and my dad put in the lights and my dad started the painting for me by trimming out the top, but a lot of the rest was my project to fit in during naptimes, so I am really excited to have it done. The pictures don't exactly do it justice, so come see it.

Office Cleanup

Andrew finally got a desk for his office, so today he and Bryce were shredding as part of the clean-up and organization. You can decide for yourself if this falls under either of those categories, but at least Bryce got some major jollies out of it.

Boy & a Bear

Bryce has been enjoying his bear lately. You'd think it is a little hot for this, but he is unfazed.



We are learning eyes and nose. I'd swear he said nose today.

More Summertime

My boy takes his water play very seriously. Well most of the time anyway. I guess if someone turned on the sprinkler I was holding I might feel serious too.

Fun With Nana

My mom came up this week to keep us company while Andrew was at his out of town training. She and Bryce had some good times, and I had some time off to go shopping. It's been such a long time since I did that, I think I hit almost every store in Bakersfield. It was 107 and 104 for part of the time she was here, so I am sure she's glad to go home.


Bryce thought it was super funny to share his teether.

Father's Day Part 1

Me and my Daddy

This weekend Bryce was dedicated at church and Andrew's family and my mom were here for the big day. Andrew made his dad slave away with him to put in a whole house fan the day before..what a Father's Day present. I think Bryce got the award for the most hair of the 19 kiddos being dedicated (yeah 19, there are a lot of young families in Bako).
