Lately Happening

at our house:

Making some doughnuts!

Yum! Cinnamon sugar face.

Water gun fight. These always happen at very close range and usually right after we fill the gun for him. Those water guns may be the best 97 cents I've spent recently.
Got his hat on and ready for adventure...
Watching Kahuna lick out the tuna can. This must have been very interesting since they were both down there for about 15 minutes.

Fort Halverson

Fort Halverson is finally finished! After a whole lot of work by daddy and a little help from Bryce the swings and monkey bars went up today.

If you look closely, that is a dirt mustache. I remember my brother getting dirty but I think I was a little unprepared for the amazing places dirt can get into on a little boy.

There she is, swings and all. Now to re-route the grass.

He was trying to do a thumbs up in this picture, but it turned out looking like he was pulling a rabbit out of a magic hat.

Summer's Gone

Hi daddy!

Making sand castles.

Oh to be 2 Again

When summer was pretty simple. Here he is with daddy plucking tomatoes. Right after this shot he decided to flip all the tomatoes in the air a'la a fancy chef. Maybe we need to cut back on watching the cooking channel with him.

Lining up my vehicles in a row. I think they were having a race if I understand him correctly. Further proof my son is a firstborn. Today he wanted me to find a bulldozer and when I asked him where is was last time he saw it he took me to the line of cars, and said "in this hole". Yep now that I look at the picture, that is exactly where it was.

Taking a swim. We go through a lot clothes changes because of this lately, since I haven't been able to convince him to swim in a diaper. My son does not like to be naked.

Cheese face for swimming.  What a goober.

Petting Zoo

One of the highlights of our trip was going to Zoomar's petting zoo in San Juan Capistrano with Garrett and his parents.

That goat is eating my hair! I guess I look delicious.

Patting a piggy with Mr. Adam.

Trying to find a bunny to pat with daddy. They were pretty good hiders, which is not surprising with the number of kids who were in there also trying to pat them.

Riding the "tude". We are going to be pretty sad when Bryce stops calling them that.

A pony ride on Shadow. He was pretty scared at first (as you can see by the death grip he has on Andrew).

 Feeling braver.

Shadow needs a drink.

Brave cowboy!

Lunch at Ruby's with Garrett and then back to the beach. What a day!

Cousins

Making a sand castle. He didn't like the water, so this was tricky because he would only get so close to it before running back away.

More tennis with Levi. They did a good job of playing together.

Bryce was very concerned about the sand that got dumped on Leah, so here he is cleaning it all off.

And here he's dumping her off the boogie board. They thought this was so funny.

Super interesting skim board waxing going on. Apparently this was the most interesting thing going on in the beach house at the time.

Brace Yourself for More Beach

Now that we are back, you will get more pictures of the beach trip than you might even want.

Here he is modeling the latest in beachwear for the under 10 set. I am thinking it is good that I don't try and wear one, cause they are not especially flattering to the figure.

Digging a big hole with Levi and Uncle Eric.

Digging some more (he has seen daddy do this a lot for mommy's plants in the back yard)

Playing "tennis" with Eric, and some jai lai with papa. It was pretty funny to watch since they were standing right next to each other and dumping it into the racket.

Cousin Leah doing some modeling for our budding photographer.
