Sponge bath = lots of yelling and red faced baby.
Watermelon tub bath in the sink = she digs it.
Apparently the girl just likes to be dunked.
This gets a little interesting because though you can't see him in the picture, big brother is a very eager participant in bathing the baby. We have so far narrowly averted all of us getting completely soaked.
But her favorite part is being all wrapped up tight in the towel. Here she is trying to pull it up over herself.

Two of a Kind
We have been telling everyone that Bryce and Jocelyn are as alike as two peas in a pod. Here's the proof for those of you who can't remember what Bryceman looked like as a wee one.
And finally, the hospital shots. It's cheating if you use the writing on the shirt to figure out which is which.

Joyful Noise
Jocelyn's name means "joyous" in latin, and while we think it is quite fitting, her mild mannered appearance disguises a noisemaker of epic proportions. Here she is looking all sweet and demure in her little pink sheep outfit, but mommy and daddy know better. When the lights go off, and we make a half-hearted attempt at actually going to sleep, the noisy beast surfaces. We have divided these noises into 4 categories, so here they are for those of you who don't get to experience the symphony of sound that is our baby girl. In order of ascending intensity: 1. Horse noises: grunting, huffing and puffing resembling a large horse standing next to the bed, 2. Loch Ness Monster: an assortment of squawks, and noise like Nessie clearing her throat underwater, 3. Car screeching around a corner: pretty self explanatory, but definitely one you'd have to hear to believe, and finally 4. Atomic: generally reserved for baths and night time diaper changes, sometimes I am sure my ears are still ringing 20 minutes later.

Jocelyn: The Early Days
We brought home our 9 lb 7 oz bundle of joy last week. We are adjusting to being a family of four now, and so far surviving it.
This is the bow big brother got for me at the store. It is still a little big.
Cuddle time with daddy.
First bath at home, with a very concerned big brother looking on. This girl has huge lungs and knows how to use them when she's unimpressed with the general proceedings. I have never heard a baby this loud.
Contemplating not ever having a bath again.
Reading the baby Jesus story with daddy and Bryce before we tear into the loot. She slept through the whole thing.

Belly Shot
It's that time again when we have less than a month left, so I know you've all been looking forward to playing my is she or is she not pregnant game. Be advised, this is also the only belly shot you are going to see, so make it count :0) This should be an easy one.
So...is she?
Um, yes as a matter of fact, she is.

Buckeyes
It's that time of year once again for Buckeyes to be made and noshed on with wild abandon by everyone we know. It is a delicate and time-honored process, but Bryce desperately wanted to help, so...
he got to help on the last couple with an assist from daddy, and he was pretty excited.

My Favorite Time of the Year
So off we went to get the tree...It started with the manly job of untying to get a better look.
| Bryce really wanted to get this tree for baby sister. He is such a sweet boy. |
The huge one we finally picked. I look like I am nervously checking to make sure Andrew's not going to drop it on me, but really I was just checking to see if Bryce was smiling.
Very excited boy to ride home with the tree next to him!
Evening her out (another manly job, so mommy is sitting and watching).
Here he's saying Christmas tree in a very excited voice, but it looks like jazz hands. Just wanted to show the size of it, since I'm pretty sure it's the biggest we've ever had.
Bryce's ornament for this year got unwrapped and put on the tree, then taken off the tree and zoomed around, then glued, and back on the tree a little higher up :0)
(It's Tow Mater in a Christmas hat for those of you unfamiliar with the great love of Cars that is found in 2 year old boys)
