A Few More

Cause daddy is taking my 6 month pictures. Getting big!

And there's the outtake, where mommy is hysterical because she wanted Bryce to sit behind me and hold me and instead he sat behind mommy. What a boy.

First Beach Trip of the Year

A great view.

 Jocelyn chilling in her shady spot (which was trying to be blown over by gale force winds).

Someone's happy to be at the beach. It was actually a little chilly with the wind, so instead of her cute outfit, Jocelyn looked like Rocky Balboa in most of the pictures. At least she was warm.

Looking for sand dollars.

Bryce was not too sure about the water at first. Here he is hoping the water will get in his bucket but not get close enough to him to be scary.

We wore her out.

Actually, we wore them both out. This may be one of the best parts of going to the beach. On the way home, I tried to move the book while he was dead asleep and he would grab it and pull it away, and the one time it fell, he somehow managed to lift it with his feet and get it again. It was hilarious.

Big Brother

Being a big brother can be tough sometimes, what with learning to share toys and being really gentle with your little sister. Plus, the baby gets lots of pictures of her shared, so here are some of the big guy.

Cool dude stegasaurus hair.

Checking out daddy's owl before it goes to rehab.

 Fun times in my inside fort.

This mud just jumped up and got me....all over.

Even with all the mud on his face, he's still pretty cute

Apparently it is easier to put on roller skates if you hold your head up with a chair. We just got these for a dollar at a yardsale on Saturday so we are trying them out inside before we go for the big time.

Good Friday

Today Bryce and I made our pie pan tomb. I suppose some people might see it as sacrilegious to wrap Jesus in a piece of toilet paper and put him in a pie pan filled with dirt, but this is one of the things I remember very clearly doing with my mom when I was little. I hope that Bryce remembers it too, and that he knows Jesus in an intimate way from the very beginning, and comes to understand his sacrifice for us.

Surely our griefs He Himself bore,
And our sorrows He carried;
Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten of God, and afflicted.
But He was pierced through for our transgressions,
He was crushed for our iniquities;
The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him,
And by His scourging we are healed.
All of us like sheep have gone astray,
Each of us has turned to his own way;
But the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all
To fall on Him.

2 Months Old!

Normally I really like him, but I'm not sure about the hug from big brother today.
Pretty girl.

Hi daddy!

Fishing Derby

Daddy was working the fishing derby with the firefighters so we went and tried our hand at fishing. He was very determined and stayed there for quite a while dipping his pole in the water and reeling it in. Some guy came over and told us he was impressed by Bryce's attention span. The boy just likes to fish.

Very shortly after this picture he took a digger off the edge of the rock and into the water. After a new shirt from the kind firefighters who were worried, he was back at it, squishy shoes and all.

It's been especially warm so we've been doing some of our potty training outside. These are going to make some great shots for the wedding slide show some day.

Quick break for something really interesting in the grass....

Easter Tree

Occasionally, when we get his colicky sister to nap, Bryce and mommy do some fun things together. Here he is putting the eggs on the Easter tree. He has been asking to do it for days now and thankfully the eggs were not up in the attic like we thought, so there did not have to be an early morning foray into the attic.

Yes, he is wearing Christmas pjs, but when there is a wet bed disaster at 2 in the morning, Christmas pjs are still ok in February.

Bryce and mommy at the Valentine's Day party with a group of little kiddos from church, making a hat.
