Ole!

Bryce is the king of funny hand positions. He has one we call the Hallelujah that we are still trying to capture on video. For your Memorial Day viewing pleasure we offer:

Grandparents

Bryce has gotten to see 3 of his four grandparents so far, and my dad is planning on coming up next week to get my mom and take her home. Andrew's parents came up to visit while we were in the hospital.

Bryce is also very enamored of his Nana Bekky and she is by far the champion baby burper in the house.

Our little man

Call me sentimental, but I just love this picture.

To set the record straight:

I have been hearing from various sources (by this I mean people who know Andrew) that Bryce looks like Andrew. So for your consideration I offer Exhibits A and B and C.

Far be it from me to point out the obvious, but Andrew was almost bald, while I came with enough hair for 2 babies. Which one of us does he look like? You be the judge. :0)

Stand back- I May Explode

The nurse practitioner said on Friday that I am not "overdue" yet, and I'm sure she's very qualified, but I will let you decide for yourselves.

Getting close now...

My mom got here yesterday so I am no longer trying to hold the little guy in. We'll have to see when he decides to make his appearance. I just wanted you all to see that my bump was more impressive than Andrew's watermelon. He had to be coerced to take this picture.

We're Alive- I Promise!

For those of you who check our blog all the time (hopefully that is not too many of you) we have not been out of commission because we were having a baby. Far from it actually, last week our laptop pooped out and the process of getting a new one (for a stellar deal because we couldn't just buy one regular price) has been a long and a little dicey. The first one we ordered ended up lost in limbo since it never really existed in the first place due to an out of stock issue. Still, they told us it was coming, so we waited. Then we waited for this one, which finally came yesterday. We were tempted to hold a parade in it's honor, but the cats weren't interested, so no luck with that.

Really, you haven't missed much since we entered the stone age last week. We've had one trip to the ER and no baby so far. Last Sunday I got some very unusual numbness in my right hand and right side of my face while I was standing in the kitchen making lunch, so we decided to go in and get it checked out just in case. They couldn't really find anything wrong with me so they sent us home after a few hours. We have learned that if you go into an ER at 38 weeks prego with signs of a possible stroke they get you in very quickly. :0) I still wouldn't recommend it.

Andrew has been doing well on his scenario testing and has his last ones coming up this Saturday. He says the academy will be much less stressful once those are over (they have to pass the scenario tests to stay in the program). I am huge and uncomfortable but still very pregnant. We are hoping that status remains the same until at least this Saturday, when my mom is coming to help out.

That's about all for now, thought I'd post a pic of what I spend my time doing lately, since I can imagine some of you are wondering what I do all day.

Note: Don't get all excited and think you may have just stumbled on the name we are giving our little guy. This one was for some very good friends of ours who had their little boy about 7 weeks ago. You think I would actually post a picture of the one I made for our baby on here and ruin the surprise?!
