Birthday Girl

Here are some things this 2 year old (yikes) likes:

Playing with babies.

Putting clothes on top of her jammies.

Putting other people's clothes on top of her jammies. For example here she is wearing her shirt, mommy's shirt and brother's chonies.

Happy birthday to you...We did the candles once and sang, and then once more so she could sing to herself.

Rocking out on her new guitar. There are dance moves too but those are hard to see without video.

Boo 2014

After asking a million times all day, daddy was home and the time finally came for carving pumpkins. As you can see Bryce is all concentration.

They must be discussing what they're going to make on theirs. Mommy gets the hero award for the day for carving 3 pumpkins while making dinner.

Even more serious concentration. She is not actually cutting it, but she is hopeful.

I guess it wasn't quite what she was hoping for.

Two cuties dressed as a pirate (for the second year running), and Tigger. We had a few other good costume ideas for Bryce, but we will probably have a pirate for the next 5 or 6 years until he grows out of the costume.

Punkin Patch

We finally made it out to the the u-pick to have some fun today. We were gambling and going during nap time, and we survived it pretty well til the very end as you will see.

A perennial favorite, the duck races.

The corn maze.

Big bounce time! Bryce was finally into doing the big bounce by himself. Jocelyn, not so much, but she liked jumping with daddy.

Daddy the hero then pulled them all the way out to the apples which are in the back forty of course, so that mommy could pick some apples. At this point mommy was really wishing there was room for her in the wagon.  Alas, the belly is too big now to allow for 3 in the wagon.

Good thing daddy the hero was holding on to her foot, cause she was out! So much fun can be exhausting.

Summer

My dad is the coolest!
Wow, just realized that the last post was from Easter and I've been dropping the ball. So here's a few things we've done this summer.

Brother reading sister some books

Jocelyn is a girl who loves to cuddle. Usually she stalks mommy and daddy for this purpose, but sometimes brother is a willing victim too.

Its amazing the hijinks two can get into together. Here he is reading her a book while they wait for dinner to be plated up. Does she have it good or what?

Resurrection Sunday!

We had quite a week with the kiddos being sick, so if we look a little like someone thrashed us, that's why. But nothing will stop us from dyeing eggs (except maybe flying monkeys or a plague of locust), since nobody has a fever anymore.

She was excited for about 1 minute. Then she wanted to break it.

 Showing off the final product.

Daddy and his girl trying on her Easter basket goodies.  Love this picture.

Yep, finding eggs in our pjs, cause that's how we roll these days. At least at some point we managed to get dressed and off to church.

Pretty girl. Once she realized they had yogurt covered raisins in them, she was all about the eggs.

Love this Boy!

You would never know it from these pictures, but this is the boy who was a terror at swim lessons. Apparently water hitting him directly in the face when he is not in a pool is ok though.

Just love this funny boy and his "wacko faces" (that's one of them below).

Getting So Big

Just realized that these kiddos are getting big fast, and we haven't done a blog post since Christmas. Today it was so nice outside so we took our pale flesh out to get some current pictures.

There she is, the sweet face, looking all innocent.

And there's the kraken face we know and love. Yes, we sometimes refer to our dear daughter with the name of a scary mythical beast who strikes fear in the hearts of mortals when enraged. If you lived here, you'd understand why. Oh how we love our grouchy-pants.

 On the run.

Big brother's such a good helper.

Having fun with mommy.
