"Reel" Good Time

This past weekend, Andrew was working at the sportman's show at the fair grounds. So since he was there a lot, we went to visit him.

Bryce got to go fishing with the big kiddos at the trout pool. (we snuck him in the back) This was his first time fishing, so he was not sure about the fish once they actually caught one, but he enjoyed leaning precariously over the side of the pool to see the fish and terrify his mommy.

Sadly the picture just prior to this one where we are trying to get him to touch the fish is blurry because he is trying to get away. So daddy looks very excited, but Bryce not so much. We threw the fish back, because he was pretty small, and also because the idea of carrying a fish around the fair grounds on a stringer did not appeal to me. I guess I could have strapped it to the stroller.

Before we left, he also got to play a little duck hunting game with daddy, and got some fresh mini doughnuts, which were much more exciting to him than the duck hunt.

Sunny Weather

The weather's been lookin' up lately so we've been busy doing things outside (well mostly in the garage) and working on projects that have piled up during the long dark winter :0)

Here's a few things that have happened since the last blog:

Wore my worker man suspenders

Got the Camaro from Papa's house and then spent a long time cleaning it up to sell it so daddy can get one with a body style that he likes better.

Had a tickle fight with daddy.

Wore my owl hat and read a letter from Nana, then tried to hide when I realized mommy was taking my picture.

My Valentines

Andrew and Bryce very kindly went to the store after breakfast for some creamer and I ended up getting some lovely red tulips out of the deal. Bryce is helping me put my tulips in the vase. Mostly he just pulled them all out, but it was a good try and I figure these skills will come in handy down the road (a long way) when he has a wife of his own to give flowers to.

Here's the dinner I made for my 2 valentines. Bryce almost didn't make it, he was so hungry, thankfully chewing on his spoon got him through.

And here we are trying to get all of us in the shot. As you can see, we don't do this very often.

Bathroom Literature

Nothing makes a diaper change more doable than a little Go Dog Go. Don't all boys need reading material in the bathroom? (so they tell me) Sadly I can't post the picture when I first walked in on them doing this since there's no way to censor that angle with a strategically placed leg.

Notice he still reads his books upside down if given the choice.

The Drip

It's not a good sign when you are outside trying to fix the drip line, and you come around the corner to your son doing this.

Yep, drinking from the drip line. Guess this must be a boy thing, because it would never even occur to me to do this.
