Tonight we took Bryce's 3 month old pictures, and between those and the ones of him swimming I'm sure you all will consider this a fine day. Maybe not Christmas, but close. I know everyone thinks they have the cutest baby, but we have proof that we will offer here:

Nap time
I was hoping to post some shots of Bryce and me swimming since that is our new pastime here in the 110 degree Fresno summer days of death. But unfortunately, we have a little too much going on and we left the camera at Grannie's. So for now, a shot of nap time at the Halverson's.
You may not believe this, but our ever elusive Cricket was also on the bed just prior to this shot, but scattered when she saw the camera coming. Her heard-of-but-seldom-seen reputation is very important to her. I know some of you are thinking she doesn't really exist, that she may be an imaginary cat like little kids have imaginary friends, but you may check with my parents or Adam and Laura DeClercq of Anaheim for verification of her existence.
P.S. for those of you "back is best" folks who are freaking out about how my child is lying on the bed, try trading a 2 hour nap for a 30 minute one and see how you feel in the morning (by morning I mean 4 a.m. when someone's hungry). I do check to make sure he's breathing.

Book time
Andrew is probably going to make fun of me for posting this because he took this picture maybe 8 times and half of them Bryce was looking at him and the other half I had my eyes closed. But I promise, I really had them open, I was just looking at the book. Bryce likes to read all sorts of books and I know you're thinking there is something wrong with this picture-Berenstein Bears is not the paramount of literature for children. Unfortunately we packed up a lot of the books for this part of the move, so Bears it is. Bryce's current favorite is Barnyard Dance by Sandra Boynton. We give it 5 stars.

New Diggs: Take 2
Okay, as promised here are the pics of the new place. We are living in the mother in law apartment at our brother in law's grandma's house in Fresno. Andrew decided to be the best daddy ever today and take Bryce to his parent's house so mommy could have a break and I was finally able to get everything put away.
Bathroom and bonus picture of Bryce :0) because he's so cute!

Brown Sandal Family in Fresno
We made it to Fresno ok, two cats (one tranquilized again) and a baby and a whole ton of stuff. Where does it all come from? Our new place is not ready for its close up yet (hopefully tomorrow) because let's be realistic, it is rather hard to make a place spotless when moving in with a little guy.
So for those of you who depend on the blog for your daily dose of Halverson, here's something to tide you over.

Weird Sleeper Volume 2
I am supposed to be packing right now for our move to Fresno on Saturday, but Bryce is actually sleeping and it just seems criminal to waste the golden time on packing alone. So here are a few more funny shots of him sleeping. You would think all he does is sleep from how many pictures we have, but I promise, he sleeps way less than most 2 1/2 month old babies.
He does the one where he looks dead face down on Daddy's arm a lot and it makes Mommy so nervous she can't watch. The one of Bryce and his grandparents is not really a weird pose, but he looks so comfy with them. My parents got to see him when they came up for Andrew's graduation.

Teeth?
We are not sure yet if this means teeth are on the way, but our son's love for sucking on his hand had dramatically increased in the past 2 weeks. While we were at the beach he managed to get his arm instead of the hand and gave himself a huge dark purple hickie (no I will not be including pictures).
Yesterday I went to check the chicken for dinner while Bryce was having his lovely tummy time, and in the 2 minutes I was away, he somehow got his hand and put himself to sleep. How come this doesn't work when we are trying to get him to sleep?
